The Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2023 in Dallas was a resounding success. Held from September 11-13 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, the event was a dynamic congregation of security professionals and industry innovators from across the globe.
This year’s GSX saw an impressive turnout with a diverse range of participants coming from 95 countries. From keynote speeches to panel discussions and networking sessions, the event was packed with engaging and informative activities.
Emphasizing Cutting-Edge AI Facial Technology Integration
With over 2,500 customers globally, BioConnect earned recognition as Suprema’s top-performing partner from 2020 to 2022. BioConnect further enhances this partnership by integrating Suprema’s new cutting-edge AI facial technology into the BioConnect Trust Platform. The anticipated release of this integration by the end of 2023 signifies a major advancement in the field of biometric physical security.
In 2022, Suprema adopted a highly advanced AI processor, NPU, to enhance the authentication performance of AI algorithm even more. Suprema’s AI algorithm uses dynamic face templates to increase matching performance for people of any ethnicity and faces wearing masks, glasses, hats, beards, niqabs, various hairstyles, etc. Also, it is not only highly accurate but also fast, so it takes within 0.2 seconds to authenticate moving faces which offers great convenience in high-traffic areas.
Insight – The future is moving towards AI and Facial Authentication
With the facial recognition market expected to reach $19.3 Billion USD in 2032, one key learning from GSX is that there is a growing demand for touchless biometric solutions, such as facial authentication. This trend is caused by an increasing demand to move away from legacy card authentication as security experts are becoming more aware of the financial cost of misplacing cards as well as the compromise in security. By eliminating the need for physical cards and replacing them with facial recognition, organizations can reduce costs and improve efficiency while maintaining a high level of security.
